Validation or not

Finally got this page to validate.
Still having a weird image not show problem when trying to use those tiny buttons (Steal These Buttons) seen everywhere, don’t know what’s up with that just yet.
And so far the css isn’t validated, (it was at one time, but changes have been made), it tells me to validate xhtml first! (ah..it is!)
Ok too hot to do any more,
I did update the side bar some and fixed some other little things.
More later.

Sunflower & Bee

I was playing with borders in Photoshop the other day, this looks way nicer than the straight pop-ups.

Sunflower and Bee

But i could change the pop-up size to accomadate the added borders. If I use Amy’s photo log tutorial i won’t be able to use anything above a 400×300 image.

Lots of Little Things

Today is Russel and my anniversary, have i mentioned him yet? We have been married 8 years and living together for 12.
I got really lucky when I found him, or we found each other, however you like to look at those things. I met him when i was 42, i had never been married or had any kids, and didn’t really think that would ever be part of my life.
He is kind, considerate, funny, compassionate, generous, truthful, honest, loving, caring and committed…..and a 3rd degree (Sandan) in Aikido. More on that later.
We are happy, content, and going the long distance.

Soon we will leave for brunch at the Woodrose Cafe, the best breakfast place ever.

In other news:

I am still trying to learn how to use Canon G3 with no flash in a small club venue. I hope i get at least a couple of decent shots. I also hope having the camera doesn’t distract me too much from enjoying Bruce Cockburn (in 2 days at the Mystic!).

So i am gearing up for Bruce Cockburn, and Russel is gearing up for Reggae on the River in a whole different way, because the Aikido school does a food booth there selling burritos. (This was before the reggae wars and the split- again too bad all the old archives are gone!)
I will make a long post soon about Reggae, several actually as it is one huge event, 3 days of music and a mini-city built onsite. It is exhausting to work and play there.

Photo Teasers

Time I have no time!

Here’s a teaser from the Harley Run (Redwood Run).
I have more, but they will have to wait until i get the photoblog happening.

On a visit one night this dandelion called to me. Shot with the Canon G3, macro w/flash. This image is actually 150% which usually destroys by pixelation, but not this time.

Working on the CockburnProject

I just finished posting up a new front page at the CockburnProject. (It was this page.
Took most of the day…and it is hot (100) and humid, which it usually isn’t, here today.
I am melted and fried.

Bruce Cockburn will be in Petaluma, Ca at the Mystic Theater (July 29, 2003) next week.
So I have one week to try and learn how to take good digital shots with no flash in the small venue at the concert!

Needless to say, any more improvements in MT here or setting up my photolog will be put on hold until after Bruce and after Reggae On The River which is August 1-2-3!!! More on that a bit later.

Too busy to post

I have a bunch of photos from the Harley Run – rumble rumble is still going on.
I have pictures of the bee holes at the land.
I am coordinating tons of reviews/setlists/ and photos to put up a new front page at the CockburnProject, where i am an editor and the webmaster. Until that is done, i won’t have much time for MT or other things.

Eureka

Yesterday we spent the day in Eureka, it is 60 miles north of here, the largest town around. It’s where the mall is, costco and most shopping is done.
I don’t usually enjoy being there, it’s on the coast, generally it is cold and foggy, and smelly, with pulp mill toxic spewing and low tide.
Any way yesterday was different. It was sunny and warm with a cool light breeze, and the air was actually breathable till late in the day. I took a few shots, the chance of us being there again on such a nice day is not likely.

It’s hot here again..100 today and yesterday.
The ‘bikers – Harley Run’ have taken over town with their loud rumblings. Tomorrow at least we will spend the day at the house in the hills, lots of work to do there, at least until the heat hits.

Do you ever feel as if there just aren’t enough hours in the day to do what needs to be done, not even mentioning, doing things you may just want to do.
